United Territories Of Pacific Islanders Alliance

UTOPIA Washington believes in the power of visibility and safe spaces. "Bi+, By Us, For Us" provides a space and gathering that uplifts members who identify as bisexual, pansexual, fluid, queer, and unlabeled (bi+), helping to facilitate and engage in meaningful conversations and being around one another. This opportunity gives them the ability to have open discussions that identify issues, solutions, and dismantling the stigma and miseducation behind bi+ identities and lived realities. This space will be held on a monthly occurrence. Every month will have a different format; each month centering on specific subject matter outlined by attending community members, and highlighting guest speakers who come to help facilitate discussion. The point of this safe space is to maximize the resources and connections that UTOPIA has to make sure that our bi+ community members feel safe, heard, and visible. With your help we can help cover costs through planning, organizing, guest stipends, and creating resources for these specific support group meetings.

Bi Women Quarterly

Bi Women Quarterly is a quarterly grassroots publication. Volunteer-run, we are in our 40th year of continuous publication. We are currently to our knowledge the only bi+ women+ periodical in existence. We offer BWQ at no cost to all interested through digital subscriptions, print subscriptions, and on our website: BiWomenQuarterly.com.

We request a grant to hire a summer intern who will focus on expanding our visibility and reach on social media in the U.S. and globally. It is our hope to increase the number of people who know about this free and accessible resource and widen and further diversify our pool of subscribers and content contributors.

Still Bisexual

Still Bisexual’s mission is to foster public acceptance, awareness, and understanding of bisexual, pansexual, fluid, and queer identities and the challenges they face; to develop and promote self-acceptance, personal empowerment and visibility among bisexual, pansexual, fluid, and queer people; and to foster inclusivity and acceptance for bisexual, pansexual, fluid and queer people among the larger LGBTQIA+ community.

We transcribed all of the #StillBisexual videos from our successful national storytelling campaign and plan to transform these moving stories into a book. By sharing these stories in book form, our inspiring campaign will be able to reach a larger audience and make bi+ individuals who are closeted feel seen and accepted. The book will also build allyship amongst people who do not yet understand that attraction to multiple genders is valid. With so few bisexual books on the market, this one will prove to be a valuable resource to those hoping to better understand their own identities and are seeking validation and inspiration to live as their authentic selves.
